Super Eagles 28 man list squad release – Odion Ighalo and Olisa Ndah make the cut
Nigeria Football Federation has trimmed the 40 man list to a 28-man squad from list for next year’s African Cup of Nations in Cameroon,Felele247.com understands.
Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City top the list of the invited players to wear the green white green of the Super Eagles, including fellow colleague Kelechi Ihenacho, SC Napoli’s Victor Osimhen who recovered from injury also make the list, including Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Italy Torino’s Olaoluwa Aina, Kaizer Chief’s goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi top the list of goalkeepers with AC Omonia, Cyprus, Sparta Rotterdam Maduka Okoye and Enyimba’s John Noble completes the goalkeeping department are some of the regular faces that make the squad.
Also, making it in the defence department for the first time is Adekunle Adeleye is one the invited homebased players from Enyimba FC, former Akwa United defender Olisa Harold Ndah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa) has been included in the list Spanish Segunda side CD LeganS’ Kenneth Omeruo, Turkish SuperLig side Alanyaspor FC Chidozie Awaziem, Glasgow Rangers Leon Balogun, Watford’s William Ekong, Al Shabab forward Odion Ighalo return from retirement to the final list, CSA Moscow’s Chidera Ejuke, Kelechi Nwakali (SD Huesca, Spain) and Watford danger man Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis complete the list of the 28 man squad.

The three-time champions will face Sudan, Egypt, Guinea Bissau in Group D. The Super Eagles of Nigeria won Africa’s most prestigious football tournament in 2013 in South Africa with the late Stephen Keshi as a coach.
