NNL: Mighty Jets beat EFCC In Jos to move up on the standings

Mighty Jets International Football Club got back to winning ways after their 2-0 loss to City FC at away last weekend as they overpowered visiting EFCC FC of Abuja, beating them 3-1 at the Jos New Stadium.

Alkasim Muhammad got the first goal as early as the 3rd minute after a EFCC FC defender handled the ball in the 18-yard box.
The boys from Abuja equalized in the 11th minute.

Shittu Lawal put Mighty Jets in front in the 50th minute with a brilliant header, while Buchi Kingsley put the icing on the cake in the 57th minute to end the encounter 3-1 in favour of Coach Tony Ogaranduku tutored boys.

It would be recalled that the duo of Alkassim Muhammad and Shittu Lawal both on the scorers’ sheet for Mighty Jets, were both former players of Giwa football club.

Another former Giwa FC player in Mighty Jets International fc line up that demolished EFCC FC on Saturday is Sale Muhammad.

With this result, Mighty Jets International fc now move to 3rd on the NNL Group A1 league standing with 3pts from two matches, while City FC of Abuja sit at the top with 6 maximum points from 2 matches and closely followed in second place by ABS FC of Ilorin with 4pts from two matches played.

Yobe Desert Stars is placed 4th with 3pts, EFCC FC is placed 5th with 3pts and -1 goals difference, 6th on the log is Elkanemi Warriors with 2pts, also with the same number of points and goals scored and conceded with Elkanemi is Sokoto United, Zamfara United is placed 8th with 1pt, 9th on the league table is FWC fc with 0pt from one match played, while Oyah Sports are first from the bottom with 0pt and -2 goals difference.
