Gopey joins Al Arabi Kuwaiti amid Ukraine tension

Nigeria international Stephen Michael Gooey has secured a short term contract with Al Arabi SC Kuwaiti from Ukrainian side FC Ingulets Petrove with an option of renewal amid Russia invasion of Ukraine,Felele247.com understands

In mid-season of the 2020–21 Nigeria Professional Football League, Gopey moved from Rivers United to Wikki Tourists.

On 23 July 2021, he signed for Ukrainian Premier League club Inhulets Petrove, on a three-year contract. Gopey made his league debut against Shakhtar Donetsk on 24 July 2021, scoring his team’s lone goal in a 2–1 defeat.

The Kanke Local government area Plateau state born forward is currently valued at N24 Million by the Germany transfer market portal after making his official debut for the club

He started his professional football career with Green Beret of Zaria before securing to Rivers United
