Match Report.

Campos FC of Owerri returned to winning ways with two beautiful goals against Giant Brillars of Enugu, in match day 9 fixture of the Nigeria National League ( NNL 2021/22 ) season played at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri on Saturday 2nd April, 2022.

The opening stages of the encounter saw both teams out play themselves, seeking for balance and rhythm as they head in to the break with share of the spoils.

The host, quickly rang changes with the first Substitution of the day on the 49th minutes which saw skillful and prolific striker Ogbuehi Nzubechi with jersey number 11 replace wing wizard Oluka Ngei with jersey number 15.

The Substitution paid off in the 58th minutes when Nzubechi broke the deadlock with a stylish finish to give his side the lead with a classy goal in what was his third goal of the season.

Giant Brillars, responded by throwing more players forward looking for the equalizer which yielded no positive result.

The technical crew of the home side introduced more fresh legs which gave them the advantage when in form attacker Igwe Ikenna, brilliantly curled his shot into the back of the net to send his side into a two goal lead against the visitors. He has now scored 2 goals in 2 consecutive matches.

All efforts by the visitors, to get a consolation proved abortive having failed to convert their chances.

Up next for the Owerri based club, is a trip to Lagos, where they will trade tackles with Vandrezzer FC next weekend.
