NPFL Transfer: Lobi Stsrs regrouping with new signings

The Pride of Benue have been preparing to turn things around since the coming of former Nigeria International Dorminic Iorfa as the club chairman to maintain their NPFL status after a turbulence first stanza campaign.

After making mass signings last season, Lobi Stars have acquired the services of eleven new players so far.

Three of their former players returned to the squad with goalkeeper Okemuite Odah who rejoined the team from Rivers United after spending three seasons in the Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 domestic league and veteran forward Tyavkase David return to the club as a free agent, makes the headlines.

Also Lobi Stars confirmed signing of John Lazarus from Rivers United after leaving the club at the beginning of the current season.

Few days later, forward Atule Collins and Usule Martins became one of the latest arrivals at the Makurdi based club from the 2017 and 2019 Aiteo cup finalist Niger Tornadoes, with the signing of Nosa Lucky from the second division side Bendel Insurance on a season contract with an option of renewal.

Now focus is on how Lobi Stsrs’ new players will contribute to the quest to end the pride of Benue winning fewer runs and stay afloat in the NPFL at the end of the season, with the coming of Muhammed Baba Ganaru as the new head coach, his mission is quite clear maintain and secure NPFL status for the club.

The latest is players to join our Ajia Emmanuel who joined as a free agent and I’m Godfrey from Akwa United respectively.

24hrs to the end of the mid-season transfer window, two imports secured they’re to the pride of Benue, Amokachi Nazim and Fred David completed their move from Finland 🇫🇮 and Turkey 🇹🇷 respectively.

Also beating the midseason transfer window is Jonah Chukwudi who completed his move El-Kanemi Warriors to complete the eleven players that adorned the colours of the club.

Lobi Stars will square it up with Rangers International at the Aper Aku Stadium this Sunday in match week 20 of the NPFL.

The matchweek sees both teams involved in an 8 goal thriller with the Rangers international 5-3.
