2022/2023 NPFL season to be played in abridged format

Felele247 Media have scooped that the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League will be played in abridged format, which will see the league will grouped to Southern League and Northern league with 10 clubs in each group.

Felele247 Media gathered from a source stated that the Nigeria Football Federation held a meeting with club managers on Tuesday afternoon to delineate on the new season.

“There are alot of deliberation over the kick off of the new season, most especially the format, almost all the club managers agreed to an abridged format to safe the cost of traveling and most importantly the security challenges in the country”

“We are still waiting for them and all relevant bodies to come out and announce the kick off for the new season”

If anything goes by, there will be a playoff at the 2022/2023 to get a winner.

Rivers United are the reigning champions of the league.
