Rivers United and Plateau United return to the continent

Rivers United will return to the continent interclub competition playoff following Confederation of Africa Football draw held in Cairo Tuesday afternoon, Felele247 Media understands.

The pride of Rivers were ousted by Wydad Casablanca in the second leg of the second preminalary round of the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League on 7-2 aggregate.

The 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League champions will host the first leg at the Adoke Amasiamaka Stadium on the 2nd of November.

Plateau United on its part will host its first leg at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on the same day.

The reverse fixtures will take place in Libya on the 9th of November with the qualified teams from both legs reaching the group stage.
