Our NPFL status is intact – Doma United Chairman

New entrance to the Nigeria Professional Football League cadre Doma United have debunk rumpur that the Pantami outfit have sold their premiership status to another club.

The media department made a release on Wednesday after it was gathered that the club who gained promotion to the Nigerian elite league are experiencing financial issues.

The statement reads: The attention of the management of Doma United Football Club have been drawn to some fake online publications stating that the club have sold its Nigerian Professional Football League slot to another club.

The club will like to categorically state that all these reports and publications are not true.

Doma United Football Club fought hard to gain promotion to the NPFL last season and it’s ready and committed to participate in the upcoming NPFL season managed by the Interim Management Committee setup by the Nigerian Football Federation.

According our CEO/Chairman Alh. Suleiman Umar (Alhajin Doma) “We have gone far in our preparation for the new season. NPFL club owners meeting was recently held and we participated in the just concluded NNL Super4 Yenagoa where we tested our player’s strength ahead of the new season. So, I think all these reports are just strategies meant to distract us from our preparations. I will like to reassert our resolve to playing in the NPFL”.

Any other information apart from the one coming from the Club is fake.

Doma United gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League alongside El-Kanemi Warriors, Bayelsa United and Bendel Insurance.
