I Told Nigeria About My Son When He Was Very Young – Abbey Abiodun revealed

Abiodun “Abbey” Adeyemi, father of Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi, has made a revelation which many fans of the Super Eagles of Nigeria do not know.

According to Abbey, he was so confident with the abilities of his 10-year-old son that he notified then Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, about him.

“My son plays for Germany but he was educated in the Nigerian way and I make sure he stays connected with his roots by visiting Nigeria since he was a kid,” Abbey Adeyemi said in interview and was quoted by Owngoal Nigeria.

” I was so sure that he will be a top star that I told the Nigerian coach Keshi back then when he was around 9-10 years old that I have a son who will in the future fly the Nigeria colours.”

Now, Abbey’s dream of having Karim play for Nigeria has hit the rocks as the teenager is now with the Senior National team of Germany, Snubbing invitations from Nigeria and Romania.
