FC Sabon Gari sign four 16 years old to their first team

Nigeria National League One side FC Sabon Gari have successfully completd the signing of 4 16 years old (Thankgod Joseph, Lukeman Umar Ahmed, Victor M. James and Khalifa Hussain) ahead of the kick off of the new season, Felele247.com.ng understands.

They will feature for the team in the new season with an aim of developing their football techniques through the ranks of the team.

The Club will be the first club in the Nigeria domestic football club third tier to sign 16 year olds to their first team after the Nigeria Nationwide League One advocate for youth development structure in the league.

Speaking to Felele247.com.ng President of FC Sabon Gari, Chika Chukwu expresses his happiness after the young lads put pen to paper fpr the club.

“Some have been on our radar since they were 10 years old through their parents and the academy they played for then. Others have been with us for over 2 years and we feel the time is right for them to begin their career. Why not?”

“They are all a bunch of talents and they all play the different positions –
Khalifa Hussain (31) – Left wing
Victor M. James (3) – Right full back
Thankgod Joseph (99) – Central midfield
Lukeman Umar Ahmed (29) – Attacking midfield.

“We are looking forward to the kick off, so they can showcase their skills and talents and we hope they get an invite to the Nigeria U17 (Golden Eaglets) camp before the U17 World Cup”, he concluded.

FC Sabon Gari will feature in the Nigeria Nationwide League One for the first time this season.
