Kano Pillars Returning to NPL to Become Champions Again Babangida Little

The Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Babangida Little is over the moon with joy at the immediate return of Kano Pillars FC to the Nigeria Premier League from the Nigeria National League and he has vowed to transform the club into a serial winner.

Speaking to the media at the ongoing Super 8 play-off in Asaba where Kano Pillars FC have already picked one of the tickets to the highest level of league football in Nigeria, the football astute administrator dedicated the achievement to the Government and good people of Kano for their support to the team.

“We thank the Government and all the people back home and those who made it down here to Asaba. We are so happy for this ticket. I don’t know how to express my feelings. We thank almighty Allah for what he has done for us, for bringing us down to this competition, and for giving us this ticket. The boys have tried their best, it is now left for us the officials to fulfill our promises and bless them. There is cause to celebrate this achievement”, a visibly ecstatic Babangida Little disclosed.

The club Chairman who was announced as the head of the Kano Pillars FC Board only a few weeks ago by Governor, Kabir-Yusuf reminded the Journalists present about his antecedents, revealing that he has always been associated with success.

“I was a Board member of Kano Pillars in the 90’s. In 2012 I was the General Manager of the club and now I am the Chairman so you can see that I am not a newcomer at all. I was climbing gradually till I got to this position and I will rewind the years. I will return the team back to the glory days, Insha Allah”, he further stated.

“Kano Pillars are going back to the premier league to dominate and win it. Under my watch, Kano Pillars will win the Nigeria Premier League again. I am not a technical man but I know that we must bring new boys into the team to join forces with the ones we are using presently. There are areas we need to adjust. The technical crew are watching and when they bring the proposal, mine is to approve”, Babangida added when prompted about their next mission statement.

Kano Pillars apart from picking an NPL ticket, will be squaring up against Heartland FC of Owerri in the final of the NNL Super 8 play-off in Asaba on Friday.
