Commissioner for Youth and Sports Inspects rehabilitation progress at the Zaria Road Stadium ahead of NPFL/NNL new season kick-off
Plateau State Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Bashir Lawandi DATTI has reiterated his commitment to give utmost priority to sports development and youth engagement on the Plateau.
The Honourable Commissioner gave the assurance during an inspection tour of facilities at the Zaria Road Stadium where he promised to give more support for the 2017 NPFL Champions Plateau United FC. and 1973 League Champions Mighty Jets.
The newly appointed Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development Bashir Lawandi Datti said that the Executive Governor of Plateau State Barr. Caleb Muftwang is ready to give maximum support to all Sports related activities in the State, that the first project is to see that the state’s darling team Plateau United kick start their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League with good results and the target given to the coaches by the General manager of the Club Mr Hosea Mutla is achievable in the upcoming Season. He appealed for more support and cooperation from all football fans on the Plateau so that to function effectively In the same vein.
The Newly appointed acting General manager of Plateau United Mr. Habila Hosea Mutla was on the ground to take the Hon Commissioner to inspect the ongoing rehabilitation of the dressing rooms, toilet, media gallery stand, VIP stand, and the fans/supporters stand at the stadium.
Hon. Commissioner really appreciates the effort made by the workers and the State Government He was particularly emphatic on the Development on the ground.
He, therefore, reiterated the commitment of the Government of Plateau state under the leadership of Executive Governor Barr. Caleb Mutwang to the development of sporting facilities around the state, he gave the assurance during an inspection tour of sporting facilities where he promised to give more support for 2017 NPFL Champions Plateau United FC. and 1973 League Champions Mighty Jets International FC before the new season of the Nigeria domestic leagues kickoff.
Lastly, Honourable Bashir Lawandi Datti appealed for more support from corporate organizations on the Plateau to activate strategic partnerships with the state Ministry of Sports and Youth Development for effective development in Skill acquisitions and other youth engagement activities in the state.
