Angola FA Ban Petro Athletico for Match Fixing

🇦🇴 Angolan Football Federation has place ban on Petro Athletico de Luanda over match fixing alleged by the country’s football governing body, Felele247.com.ng understands.

It was gathered that after investigation the Angola 🇦🇴 Football Association placed a sanction on the club, which will see them not to compete in the upcoming season and competing in the inaugural season of the Africa Football League.

“Petro Luanda’s participation in this Football League is subject to the pending outcome of the disciplinary proceedings opened by the Angolan Football Association.” 🇦🇴

Contacts are underway between the Angolan FA, Petro Luanda and the AFL organizers as well as CAF to find a solution to this as soon as possible.

President of Petro de Luanda, Tomás Faria says:

• They (FA) just want to tarnish our name on the eve of the African Football League draw.

• They (FA) released these statements just days ago and that clearly shows that there’s someone who has dark interests for this great club.

• We are not suspended, banned and won’t pay any money to anyone. This club will play in the Premier League.

• We will pursue this matter to the highest level because all they wrote to us, there is no established truth in it
