MIGHTY JETS INT’L FC FIGHT BACK TO SNATCH A POINT OFF ELKANEMI WARRIORS

Mighty Jets INT’L FC 2-2 Elkanemi Warriors FC

Following a 0-0 draw against the nation’s anti-graft agency’s team, EFCC FC in Abuja a fortnight ago, Mighty Jets INT’L FC of Jos soon turned their attention to a crucial Match Day 08 affair at home to Elkanemi Warriors FC.

Despite full-blown preparations for business, the boys would inexplicably find themselves 0-1 down in just the first five minutes of proceedings through Ajiji Gimba of Elkanemi Warriors FC.

With calm nerves and great foresight, Mighty Jets Int’l FC continued to push for an equalizer against the stubborn visitors.

Things would again go sour before the half-hour mark as the visitors got the second goal of the evening.

In the bid to draw some inspiration, Najib Mabo looked at his bench to summon Eric Gwammy and Ahmed Ajini, as Simon Elijah and Nansel Selbol made way for the aforementioned duo.

All of Mighty Jets Int’l’s attempts to rally back early on could not produce the desired outcome as the first half ended 0-2 in favour of the visitors.

Upon resumption of hostilities, Mighty Jets Int’l began to reap some reward for their hard work deep in the 78th minute through Samuel Nanjuan’s tap-in off a remarkable interchange in the area.

A few more substitutions from Coach Mabo appeared to have stretched the Warriors’ defence which again collapsed in the 88th minute through a long throw from Nenpes Jonathan that fell on the foot of Mahmoud Abubakar who made no mistake in taking the glorious chance to ensure his team took a point from the fixture.

Mighty Jets Int’l FC are currently 4th on the log in Northern Conference C.
