Isaac Jonathan And Samuel Nanjuan On Target As Mighty Jets Int’l Thrash Vom Vet Rovers 4-1

As the resumption of the second stanza of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season is still being awaited, Mighty Jets Int’l FC of Jos are leaving no stone unturned in perfecting their scoring prowess as they thrashed Vom Vet Rovers FC 4-1 in a mid season friendly encounter.

The match which was played on Thursday, 8th February 2024, at the Zaria Road Stadium saw Jets skillful winger, Isaac Jonathan, opened scoring in the first minute of the game to put the Coach Najib Mabo’s boys in the mood for more.

Talented striker, Hamisu Umar, in his second appearance for Jets scored a superb goal to put Mighty Jets Int’l FC 2-0 up at half time.

In the 52nd minute after the restart, Samuel Najuan made it 3 for Jets with a powerful finish into the bottom corner of the net before Shamsu Akilu also registered his name in the scorers sheet to make it 4 for Mighty Jets Int’l FC.

However, the Vom Vet Rovers team were determined not to allow Jets run away with a clean sheet as they reduced the deficit to bring the final scoreline to 4-1.

It would also be recalled that, Mighty Jets Int’l FC took on Dress FA in another friendly on Wednesday as they ran riot with a 5-0 victory.

In this game, highly talented striker Hamisu Umar, marked his debut appearance for Mighty Jets Int’l FC with a superb goal.

The quartet of Bashir Azado, Sagir Umar, Yusuf Guarantee and Mustapha Usman all registered their names in the score sheet to help Mighty Jets Int’l FC to a comfortable 5-0 win and a clean sheet to the delight of the goalkeeper.

Mighty Jets Int’l FC coach, Najib Mabo, expressed delight with the outcome of the two friendly matches and particularly with the performance of new striker Hamisu Umar.

With 9 goals scored and only 1 conceded in a space of two days, Mighty Jets Int’l FC can be said to be in a confident mood ahead of their trip to Maiduguri to take on former NPFL side Elkanemi Warriors FC with whom they played 2-2 in Jos in the first stanza.

The second stanza of the NNL season is expected to kick start on the 17th of this month according to a recent publication.
