Africa: Al Hilal set to announce new head coach

Sudanese giants AL Hilal Omdurman SC is set to announce Portuguese tactician Joao Mota as the club new head coach after the departure of fellow country man Ricardo Formosinho,Felele247.com understands.

The former Brazilian side manager Botofogo FC arrived Sudanese capital Khartoum to finalize his contract with the Omdurman base side before their net game.

On 2 September 2014, Mota was hired by Gil Vicente F.C. as a replacement to João de Deus, fired after three losses in as many top division games ,On 25 March 2016, after a period of inactivity, he signed with second tier club C.D. Feirense, leading it to promotion after four years and being relieved of his duties in December of the same year.

Mota was appointed at C.D. Aves on 18 February 2017,achievement another promotion to the Portuguese top flight  but leaving subsequently by mutual consent.

The 53-year-old moved abroad for the first time in late June, signing a two-year contract with CS Sfaxien from the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 and leading them to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
