Africell SL signs 700 million Leones worth sponsorship agreement with Sierra Leone Football Association

The leading Mobile Company in Sierra Leone Africell on Friday 1st October 2021 signed a partnership agreement with the Sierra Leone Football Association as the official sponsor of the Senior National Team Leone Stars and the Sierra Leone Premier League.

“We are delighted to have such an unprecedented partnership with the biggest telecommunications network in the country,” says Thomas Daddy Brima President of the Sierra Leone Football Association.
The SLFA President furthered that, “we have been in several discussions with Africell and we are thrilled to finally put pen to paper.”

“The partnership spans for four years and it is worth Seven Hundred Million Leones,” he revealed.
On their own part, the Chief Cooperate Affairs Officer of Africell Joe Abass Bangura confirmed Africell has always been a strong pillar supporting football in Sierra Leone and the partnership with the Thomas Daddy Brima Executive is the start of greater things in store for Sierra Leone Football.

“Africell is committed to starting preparations ahead of Leone Stars preparation as they will continue to give their unflinching support to the National Team ahead of the biggest continental football event next year in Cameroon,” he emphasized.

This agreement means Africell is now the official sponsor of both the Senior Male National Football Team Leone Stars and the Sierra Leone Premier League.

The team is expected to depart the shores of Freetown for Morocco on Sunday 3rd October 2021 to compete in three friendly matches.
