Nasarawa United overrun Yoca Stars in a preseason warmup game

A brace from former ABS FC attacking midfielder, Charles Eguavon(16′ and 73′) and a goal each from right back, Afeez Bankole(46′) and striker, Nuhu Soja(penalty 63rd) gave Nasarawa United a 4-3 slim victory over selected side, Yoca Stars FC, in a preseason friendly match decided at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, on Friday morning.

The Solid Miners gave away a 3-1 lead as the hosts rallied back to reduce the deficit with Abdulazeez Jibril(penalty 33′), Abdulrafiu Kazeem(86′) and Hamza Adamu(89′) each scoring for their team toward the closing stages of the intriguing encounter that saw Coach Bala Nikyu and his Crew handing playing opportunity to the newly recruited players while featuring only a handful of the old ones to prove their potentials.

Nasarawa United would complete their five days preseason tour of Kaduna with a last friendly match on Friday evening at the same venue against Mutunci Academy based in Kawo, before proceeding to Jos, Plateau State, on Saturday, 13th November, 2021, in continuation of their pre-league programmes.
