AFCON 2025 – Nigeria and Benin Republic submits bid
Felele247 Media can confirm that Nigeria and Benin Republic have submitted an open bid to host Afcon 2025 after Guinea🇬🇳 was Striped From Hosting for Lack of preparation.
A report monitored from Cairo indicates that Nigeria and the Benin Republic have now officially submitted their proposals to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Felele247 Media gathered that Nigeria Will Present Five Stadiums which are Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, Godswill Akpabio Stadium (Nest of Champions) 🏟️, Akwa Ibom, National Stadium🏟️, Surulere, Lagos which going through renovation, Adokiye Amesimeka Stadium 🏟️, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos ( Under Renovation 🏗️).
The Confederation of African Football withdrew Guinea’s hosting rights after what Africa’s football governing described as a lack of preparation.
Other countries have indicated their interest in hosting the African most prestigious competition Algeria, South Africa, Senegal, and Zambia have also submitted their bids to host Africa’s flagship soccer competition.
CAF inspection team will visit all the countries between January 5 and 25 to check their facilities.
The continent’s soccer governing body will choose the country or countries that will host the competition on February 10, 2023.
It would be recalled that Nigeria co-hosted the 2000 AFCON finals with Ghana.
