Our mission is to get back to the NPFL- Yobe Desert Stars Secretary

Yobe Desert Stars FC of Damaturu Secretary Ahmed Babi has assured the fans and people of Yobe State that the state darling team’s mission is to get back to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season, Felele247 Media reports.

The retired Nigerian Army officer made the assurance known to Felele247.com.ng in Damaturu on Friday evening after the team’s training session which was led by the Club’s new Technical Adviser Mr. Tope Tony Bolus inside the August 27 Stadium as they gear up for the 2023 Nigeria National League Season which is set to kick off next month across Nigeria.

“First of all, on behalf of Yobe Desert Stars led by Habu AbdulRahman Ago FIFA, we thank the Governor of Yobe State Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON for his utmost support to the team, and all other sports sectors in the state”

Ahmed Babi urges fans and supporters of the club to come and show their support towards the club by showing up every matchday at the stadium

“All hands are on deck to make sure that Yobe Desert Stars FC return to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season because that was the task given to us, and that is why we had to go out and get a highly technical coach in the person of Tope Tony Bulus”

“This club will be the first club to initiate a public-private partnership in this division, so we are delighted to secure the partnership with the consortium, Once again our gratitude goes to the Governor for giving the go-ahead to initiate the partnership”, he concluded.

Yobe Desert Stars has to kick off their preparation for the new season in the Nigeria National League, they will embark on a preseason in a later date.
