CAFCC: Yanga Boys touch down in Nigeria

Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC have arrived Lagos for their first leg quarter-final against Nigerian Champions Rivers United, Felele247.com.ng confirms.

The Dar Es Sallam outfit will fly to Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, where they will face Rivers United on Sunday at the Nest of Champions Stadium Uyo for the first leg of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Yanga Boys as they being called topped their group with 13 points and qualified for the last eight while Rivers United finished in the second position in group A.

Young Africans departed Dar es Salam capital of the country on Thursday morning via Ethiopia Airline en route to Nigeria.

Rivers United are already in Uyo to face Young Africans, after CAF inspection teams asked Rivers United Godswill Akpabio Stadium for their continental engagement.

Rivers United’s home ground Adokiye Amasiamaka Stadium is still undergoing facelift

The second leg is slated for Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Tanzania next weekend.

The overall winners in the two legged matches will proceed to the semifinal of the competition.
