Modern day slave trade in Nigeria football

An investigation carried out by Felele247 Media has revealed that Nigeria’s second division side HypeBuzz FC into what can be called a modem day slave trade where players and management staff of the new club are being owed salaries going into millions of naira.

The Abuja (Bwari) based acquired a slot to participate in the Nigeria National League 2022/2023 season.

It was gathered the club has failed to pay their players and management staff for the past five months.

Several players of the club and staff including the coaching have been complaining about the today to today running of the club to the management, but their complaints are ignored.

“They are false hope and promises, some of these players are not even Nigerians,that is the worst part of it”

“Since the beginning of the season, we have not been paid by the club”, now as the season is rounding up, we don’t know our fate”

HypeBuzz FC sit 4th on the Nigeria National League Group A1 standing with 11 points from eight games played so far this season.
