Gombe United paid a courtesy visit to the Gombe State SSG before departing for Kano
General Manager Gombe United FC Abubakar Abubakar Yellow along with the newly unveiled Gombe United Technical Adviser Baba Ganaru paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the state of government of Gombe State Alhaji Abubakar Njogi in his office on Thursday before the Savannah Scorpions made their road trip to the ancient city of Kano where they will feature in the Peace and Unity Preseason Tournament which kick off this Thursday at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kofa Mata.
The team entourage was led its General Manager Abubakar Yellow Abubakar, alongside the new Technical Adviser Mohammed Baba Ganaru, and other management staff of the club.
In his remarks, Gombe United General Manager Abubakar Yellow Abubakar thanked the Secretary to the state government for his kind gesture towards the club last season and during the off-season engagement.
He used the opportunity to appreciate the state governor Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa towards the club.
In his welcome address, Secretary to the Gombe State Government Alhaji Abubakar Njogi assured the club that the administration of the governor of Gombe State Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa will continue to provide all the necessary support to the club as they begin their Nigeria Premier Football League season campaign.
He further hinted that sports, most especially football have a unifying factor in the state and Nigeria as a whole
He advised the team to be worthy ambassadors of the state and challenge the new Technical Adviser Mohammed Baba Ganaru to bring his wealth of experience to the club.
Gombe United will feature is expected to play against some notable Nigeria Premier Football League and the Nigeria National League clubs at the preseason tournament.
