Kelechi Iheanacho To Arrive Abidjan Saturday Morning

Nigeria forward and Leicester City forward Kelechi Ihenacho will arrive in Abidjan on Saturday to meet up with the rest of the Super Eagles team ahead of their Group A match opener against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday despite “The Foxes” coach Enzo Marseca listing him on the injury list alongside Jamie Vardy.

Ihenacho was not on the matchday squad that will face Coventry City, with the Super Eagles had to make last-minute changes by inviting Terem Moffi, Alhassan Yusuf and Paul Onuachu after Bayern Leverkusen Victor Boniface, Real Sociedad Sadiq Umar and Wilfred Ndidi were ruled out due injury sustained ahead of the tournament.

Felele247.com.ng have scooped that Ihenacho will touch down in Abidjan early Saturday morning ahead of the Super Eagles’ final training session.

Meanwhile, CAF referee appointment committee have appointed South African Abongile Tom as the center referee for the Nigeria versus Equatorial Guinea match.
