Nigeria 3rd tier league rejects NNL relegated teams

Baring any last minutes intervention by the nation football governing body,NFF, to summon the management of Nigerian Amateur League One to absorb the four relegated clubs from the Nigeria National League, NNL, there might not be any relegation again in the Nigerian league
Our source reliable gathered that the management of the Most Important League had a marathon meeting on Tuesday night (yesterday)on the possible way to convince the authority of NLO 1 to welcome the already dropped teams to their folds and join their promotion bids back to the NNL in line with global best practices but it fell into their deaf ears
The four relegated clubs that bid farewell to the second tier league in the just concluded 2020/2021 season are Road Safety, FC Taraba, Osun United and Joy Cometh and they may remain in NNL should the NFF and other football authority fail to ignite the relevant rules to arrest the ugly scenario.
It would be recalled that Shooting Stars, Gombe United, Remo Stars and Niger Tornadoes made their way to the apex league last season and thus made the less performed teams declared relegated to the NLO1 by the Senator Obinna Ogba led management.
The Oluyole Warriors and the Sky Blues Stars who were among the four teams that gained promotion to the Nigerian elite division in the just concluded Nigeria National League Super Eight play-off staged at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, the quartet picked four tickets to the country’s elite division are both on the road this weekend to lick horns with Gombe United and MFM of Lagos respectfully
While Niger Tornadoes and Gombe qualified from Group A that boasted DMD FC and El Kanemi Warriors, 3SC and Remo Stars saw off Bendel Insurance and Ekiti United in Group B.
They have thus replaced Jigawa Golden Stars, Warri Wolves, Ifeanyi Ubah and Adamawa United who got demoted from NPFL in the 2020-21 campaign.
