Al Hilal SC versus Al Ahly SC: CAF go down heavy on the crescent team doctor

Confederation of Africa Football has impose sanction on Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC medical doctor
Awad Elseed Osman Ahmed Mukhtar over breachinof Rules and Regulations of the Inter-club competition over the incident involving Al Hilal SC versus Al Ahly SC of Egypt Match 95 – Al Hilal (Sudan) vs. Al Ahly (Egypt) in the frame of CL 2022/2023.

The statement reads “CAF Disciplinary Board decided to impose upon your club the following sanctions:

1. To suspend the Team doctor Mr. Awad Elseed Osman Ahmed Mukhtar for four (4) CAF interclubs matches. The doctor is banned from sitting at the touchline bench and accessing the dressing rooms and impose upon the club a fine of $10.000 (Ten Thousand US Dollars) for the unsporting aggressive behaviour of the Team doctor.

a. Mr. Mukhtar already purged one match suspension and has three (3) matches still to be purged.

2. To impose upon your club a financial sanction of $20.000 (Twenty Thousand US Dollars) for the lack of security during the training session and at the end of the match

3. Limit the existing attendance of personnel in matches to be played behind closed doors to the normal number allowed in such matches which is the following:
o Only licensed Players and technical staff to be seated on the bench from both teams

4. Only 10 representatives from the host Association – 10 representatives from the
host club – 10 representatives from the visiting delegation.

Only Accredited Media within the normal range of Media representatives in
interclubs matches. In case, the number of attendees in the next matches of Al Hilal Club behind closed doors exceed the above-mentioned quota, a fine of 50,000 USD (Fifty Thousand US Dollars) will be automatically imposed upon Al Hilal Club.
